3.8 miles with David

I just got back from a run with David. We ran out floralwood and up monroe and around the golf course taking apple valley drive back to my house. Overall i'd say it was an okay run. One problem that i ran into was my quads and my shins. Maybe i'm not used to running on the road and thats why i'm kind of sore. I know eventually i'll be over this problem and it wont discourage me from training. After two moderate days though, tomorrow is going to be a day in the weight room to work on my core strength and the rest of my upper body. I feel that training around here will be extremely beneficial by May, because all of the hills give you such a better workout.

  1. one thing I forgot to tell you about to help you restore leg strength is this awesome yoga thing joey and i do. get up against a wall and put your legs straight up for 10-15. like lay on your back. the blood drains out and it feels wierd, but it's good for blood ciculation.

  2. also go to runnerworld.com and click on the "injury prevention" tab at the top. It has a box where you can select what hurts and it tells you how to stretch it. I just found this, I wish I had known about this before
